Phragmites Monitoring


Final Report: Highway 9 Phragmites Site 2013-2017 Control, Management, and Restoration.
In 2013, Oneida County Land & Water Conservation Department’s (OCLWCD) Aquatic Invasive Species (AIS) Team identified a 0.05-acre pioneer population of the invasive, non-native Phragmites australis.   This species is an NR40 Prohibited species in Oneida County. The site is located in a wetland habitat at the bottom of a concrete run-off ditch, along Highway 8 just west of Rhinelander, in the Town of Crescent.
